I would like to extend a warm welcome to the newest member of A Regal Affair. Wedding planning is a busy business and our newest member will be assisting us in many aspects, but especially up on A Regal Affair's blog.
Melissa has been planning events for the last five years, producing large corporate events, convention sized parties and private soirees. It is her passion for developing intimate client relationships that has her joining this team, and she can't wait to start working with individuals on their private event dreams. Prior to event planning, she graduated UCLA, toyed with being a graphic design journalist, and was an Art Director of a local LA magazine. After helping produce a large charity gala, she was hooked on events and has not looked back since. She is overjoyed to be the newest member of the team and cannot wait to help coordinate A Regal Affair's next standout event.
In her own words: "I love that warm feeling that flows through your body when you see a group of smiling guests having an amazing time. I've always been a planner at heart and can remember hosting backyard parties when I was thirteen. For my guests, I created a miniature "beach" entrance display (my dad's sand supply + sea shells + a plastic lobster) and "live" performance art (my singing dog in a hulu skirt). My skills have improved much more since then and I can work for hours laying out floorplans, engineering food and wine menus and marrying the perfect paper selection with your favorite color. I try to keep things enjoyable and relaxed, and love unearthing each person's individual taste and style to make their event exquisitely their own."
